AWP - Forging ahead with new products

As one of Europe's leading manufacturer of Punches and Dies, AW Precision Ltd, has launched a full range of products to meet the new ISO Standard including Punches and Dies, along with demountable and press-fit pillars and bushes. The new, high quality products are very competitively priced in order to enable toolmakers to compete favourably in an increasingly global marketplace.

The launch of the new range follows an extensive investment program in the last 2 years in new machine tools, which includes 5-axis milling; hard turning and upset forge for punch manufacture; fully robotic form grinding and wire EDM. This is to support the drive to reduce the cost base and increase our punch and die stock, allowing AW Precision to support it's worldwide customer base with a 24-48 hour turn-round of orders for catalogue standard punches and dies. Our own sales offices in Germany, France, Spain and the USA will support this.

This investment has been rewarded by recently winning European business from major automotive, electrical, and domestic appliance manufacturers.

Another of the company's products represented at recent exhibitions was the AW-In-Die tapping unit for reducing the piece part price of press components that require tapping on secondary operation. This unit is described as currently the most competitively priced product of its type on the market.

The company has recently added side pierce roller cam units and a full range of economy, ex-stock strip lifters for progression tools to the product range. Ample stocks ensure that where required these products are available for same-day shipments from the Rugby plant. All the new products featured at the show are included in A W Precision's latest 2002 punch and die catalogue. This shows the increased range of punch and die products available for 2002.
